The STIHL MS 462 C-M is a very lightweight professional chainsaw in the 70 cm³ cubic capacity class. This makes it highly efficient in supporting work in forests, for foresters, and in landscaping, horticulture and agriculture. The 4.4 kW (6 hp) power is ideal for felling and delimbing medium-density and high-density tree stands.

Thanks to its weight-optimised components, it comes in at just 6.0 kg, making it extremely agile. We know every gram of weight matters when you are working on demanding tasks. It also accelerates quickly and runs at a constant maximum speed.

The STIHL MS 462 C-M forestry chainsaw offers an impressive, powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine and very good power-to-weight ratio. The fully electronic STIHL M-Tronic engine management system ensures straightforward starting and optimal engine performance at all times. Other sophisticated features of this gas-driven chainsaw include:

• Quick and easy chain replacement thanks to captive nuts on the sprocket cover.
• When working in dusty conditions, the HD2 air filter with radial seal reliably protects the engine against fine dust and is easy to clean, for example using STIHL VarioClean. The combination of the HD2 air filter and a pre-separation routing system that also comes as standard on the MS 462 means you benefit from a long-life air filter system.
